The Dream 10

Now that we’ve had a baby for nearly 20 weeks, we’re basically experts in this whole parenting thing.

HA!

We do, however, have ten things that we’ve found helpful to our survival thus far… and here they are (just click on the images for more info):

What do you think?  Anything you agree can’t be lived without?  Anything we’re missing that we should add?

I LOVE Babywise! We used it with all 3 boys and Brandon slept through the night at 9 weeks, Caleb at 12 weeks (he was 3 1/2 weeks early though) and Andrew at JUST before 13 weeks (he was 5 1/2 weeks early). I think the only thing I’d add would be cloth diapers – not to use as diapers, but as burp cloths. Cause let’s face it – the ones you buy at the store don’t hold the amount of spit-up my babies created!

Burp cloths are a great suggestion, Carrie! Kenton has spit up exactly three times in his entire 4.5 months – so, that one slipped my mind! 🙂

WOW! Only 3 times?! You are LUCKY!! Andrew pretty much spits up on cue once strapped in the carseat…or just after he eats…and he gives NO warning either. One minute your outfit is clean, the next it’s covered with spit-up!

Yes YES to 1 and 2 on your list! I used almost all of these (or some form) with our two girls. Ouch – it makes my toes curl just thinking about nursing my baby girls again. I would throw in Lansinoh Nursing Pads! I tried a couple other brands and they could NOT compare to this one. Fantastic!!

Great suggestion, Leslie! I love that brand too.

Love the list! Just got a Aden and Anais cloth at Last Chance today … Can you believe it? They had several but since mine rare past the swaddling age, I just took one! Love BW with a bit of grace. All three of ours slept through the night by 11 weeks!

Ooo… Carrie, you should have stocked up for gifts! How much were they going for?

Okay, we’re following your recommendations and got the nippy pads, diaper pail and good ole Jacques Le Peacock!
