New Year Resolution: Blog Less

Yep, I said it. One of my resolutions for the new year is to blog less.

Well… maybe not less than the once in a blue moon posts as of late… but definitely less than previous goals.

As you know, I lost my job last April. After that, I resolved to blog daily. That was fantastic! I loved giving myself the daily deadline. It forced me to be creative and come up with new ideas for the Dream. Then, the fall semester started and I was asked to come back to ASU to teach a class. That meant less time for blogging. Then, a certain mini-human arrived. That meant even less time for blogging. This spring, I’m not going to be teaching… so I initially I thought, “GREAT! I’ll blog more.” Then I remembered that minor issue… you know, the addition of the mini-human… and I realized, that’s just not practical for this life stage.

Blame them. But how can you blame them for anything?! Cutest darn mini-humans in existance.

I love blogging. I love to write. I love taking pictures. I love oversharing. I’m not going to stop doing any of these things. I’m just going to blog when I have time – and take the pressure off myself to meet arbitrary deadlines. I’m not going to solely focus on DIY home improvement topics either. I’m going to blog about the kiddos, about life with two under two, about trying to lose weight after carrying and birthing two children in 16 months, about home improvements, and about crafty-fun-stuff too. Speaking of, I already have a couple of fun projects to share – in time.

So, please bear with me. Please don’t leave! I’ll be around… but for now I’ve got two diapers to change.
