Soon after I began to reset the rhythm around here, I found myself with time to do a project I’ve been wanting to do for a while… update the playroom!
I spent a naptime pulling together this fun and colorful gallery wall.
I love how it adds color and whimsy to this room, which is meant to be a space where Kenton and Camille can be creative. Or just roll around on the floor…
It’s made up of originals… Sheep & Cow by Grandma (melaniefreyart.com) and of course the kid’s masterpieces.
The felt-flowered frame is by my friend Brittny (@fortheloveoffelt on Instagram) & I just adore it in this space.
I made a little shelf using a wooden wine box, filled with memories from our recent trip to Disneyland (the kids’ first time there) along with a vintage Disney pic of me with my grandfather.
The kids keep asking to wear their Mickey ear hats, but I won’t let them. Those were MY souvenirs and I’m determined to keep them in mint condition! Here’s the adorable original pic of my nuggets at the Magic Kingdom.
(sigh)
I actually created this space around this Jaxn Blvd sign, which I’ve had forever, but never really had a spot for it. Love the message.
Over in the corner, we have a little reading nook with the cutest yellow library cart I scored from the gals at Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market. It may be my favorite piece in the whole house.
As the kids grow, I love how their space can finally reflect more of our home’s aesthetic!
Plus, it’s Camille-approved!
